What happens in the class each week?

Each session lasts approximately an hour and a half. For the first part of the class, you will watch a video lesson taught by Dave Ramsey. Following the lesson, class members meet in small groups for discussion and hands-on activities. Group members support and encourage each other as they work to change their financial futures.

What happens if I miss a class?

If you need to miss a class, you will have access to FPU Central where you can watch the video online. However, you must attend seven of the eight classes to quality for a graduation certificate.

How do I know whether I will benefit from this program?

Experience has shown that everyone can benefit from the material taught in FPU, regardless of your income level, age, or marital status.

I don’t think I’ll feel comfortable sharing personal financial information.

While accountability within your small group is important, you will not be asked to share specific personal information.

Is childcare available?

The class listing indicates which classes have provisions for childcare. If you are requesting childcare, be sure to complete that section of the registration form.

Do I need to register for a class on the campus I attend for Worship and Bible Study?

No, you may register for the class that best fits your schedule and childcare needs. However, once you register you will be placed on a class roster and should plan to attend that class throughout the nine weeks.

If my spouse and I both plan to attend, do we each need to purchase a membership?

No, spouses may attend together with a single membership.

Can I register and pay for another person?

Yes. Any person can register another person through the church’s online registration tool choosing the option to “register as a guest.” When filling out the registration form, you would need to use the registrant’s email address, not your own.
